place of manufacture in Spain. From Spain by ship to Houston, Texas and by truck the rest of the way. The blades by them selfs are 142 feet long. The trailers are capable of stretching to 160 feet long and there is a push for trailers to go to 180 feet long to be able to carry even larger and heavier blades and other equipment. Currently there is a large push by a number of groups to increase the national weight limit to 97,000 pounds, 17,000 more that the 80,000 lbs now allowed. I don't think this is a good idea at all, not with the shape our roads and bridges are in now. More than half the bridges in the country are unsafe for legal loads today.
